FCPYoutubeChapters is a tool that allows you to make Youtube Chapters directly inside Final Cut for free

the Markers inside Final Cut need to be of the Chapter type (orange)

To use this tool export your project as XML from Final Cut then open the app and select myxmlexport.fcpxmld/Info.fcpxml and you should see the Youtube chapter timestamp!

Troublesome: if a chapter doesn't appear, try to put it on the main timeline (and send me your XML export by email so I can make it work next time)

For M1 users: some M1 users have been able to run the Intel version by changing their security settings but not the M1 version. If you have been able to run the M1 version or the Intel version on M1 please get in touch with me, this will help me make the project better for M1

For command line users: you can find a command line tool in the resource folder inside the package that allows you to use FCPYoutubeChapters inside your scripts. There is even an option to show Frame Accurate Timestamps if you want to use this tool outside the context of Youtube
